My second pregnancy last year left my body, let’s say… less than swimsuit ready for this summer (as a mom, I’m sure you can relate), I was on the hunt for a suit that would be cute while hiding my post-baby body flaws. After trying on many, many suits that were intended for women with amazing bodies, I’m sure, and finding that the belly “pooch” was going to hang over any of their 2 piece bottoms, I was discouraged and frustrated. Then Skye, one of the wonderful owners here at Baby Half Off, introduced me to Hapari Swimwear. We began by talking about their “Shore” shirts and how they would be great for that extra coverage underneath our regular low-cut shirts in the summertime because they don’t have all the extra fabric on the bottom. Let’s face it, the less layers we can wear in the summer here in Arizona, the better! Then we began to browse their swim suits and found that not only did they have a “Secret” bottom called the “Tummy Tuk” bottom, but they had a tankini top, the “S.O.S. Tankini” that has an underwire! After nursing 2 kids, any support I can get from a bathing suit top, I’ll take! I was all over this and so excited to try them. I ordered my suit- the Retro S.O.S. Tankini, the brown Tummy Tuk bottoms and a cute little skirt to cover the stretch marks (sold separately from bottoms). The shipping was really fast, I received the suit 2 days later! I was really excited, and a little nervous to tell the truth. I was nervous because all of the “tummy tucking” products I have ever tried just push the pooch north, they don’t really tuck it. I was very curious to see how a bathing suit bottom would be able to accomplish the tuck. I went in and tried it on right away! I am pleased to say that the bottoms truly did tuck and there was no north-pole pooch! The skirt was long enough to cover a bit of the marks, but I guess it was wishful thinking that it could all look perfect in a suit, right? The top I was very pleased with as well as I did have the support I needed and don’t normally find in a suit. All in all, I am very happy with it. It was pretty true to size according to the chart they have on the site. If you are like me and all of the other moms out there who are looking for a suit you can feel confident in, try Hapari.
